Staff and Students will run the Turkey Trot during lunch time. Parents: you are invited to join your students to win a turkey at this event. Come to the schoolbefore the race begins to guess the time it will take you to run the course. The parent closest to their time will win a turkey!!! There will be turkeys awarded for the student in each grade that comes in closest to their time and a few other categories.The race will begin promptly at 11:40.

Due to snow accumulation and road conditions, school is cancelled for Oct 3, 2017. It is expected that school will resume on Oct 4, 2017.

On Tuesday, Sept. 26 from 10-11am Safer Schools Together will present an assembly to the student body on Social Media Awareness. That evening, from 7-9pm there will be a presentation for the parents on Social Media Awareness & Parenting the Digital World.

Tuesday, September 19, 6:00-7:30pm will be a Meet the Teacher Night. Drop in at anytime to meet your student's teachers.
Parent Council Meeting
Also on September 19, from 7:30-8:30pm will be a General Parent Council Meeting in the library. All parents are invited to attend this meeting.
The first day of school for Cardston Junior High will be on Tuesday, September 5.
The buses will be running that day. The shuttle bus for the students living on the westside of Cardston will leave from CES at 8:05am. Students may ride that bus for the first 2 weeks without a bus pass. After two weeks students will need a bus pass for the shuttle bus. Please contact the office to obtain the bus pass.
The warning bell goes at 8:30am. School begins at 8:35am. All students will meet to begin the day with an assembly. They will receive their schedules at that time and the day will begin from there. School will run for the full day with a normal dismissal time of 3:20. Lunch is from 11:40 - 12:10. (Reminder we are a closed campus). Our in school concession will not be running for a couple of weeks so students will need to bring their lunch from home.

The focus of the time teachers will spend with Dr. Guskey is on standards based grading and reporting. It builds on the foundational teacher practice of skillful formative assessment in the classroom.
